My View on ABP

“…Which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish”.
I do not know how my writing today will turn out, for two reasons. First, I am doing this at the last minute, way too close to the deadline and secondly, I am going to try writing my definition of an academic article.
For my small circle of fans acquired on this page, you would attest to the fact that I write like I am talking to a friend. Well, yes, that is my most comfortable pattern of writing. I love to talk yet I hate to write and to trick my mind into doing what we hate, I write like I am talking.
All that said, I will try today to write like I am writing and not talking. For the unfortunate topic to be subjected to this, I have chosen the almighty ABP. For those who may not yet be familiar with the course titled ABP, it means Analysis of Business Problems.
In this article, I will attempt to write, while briefly summarizing what I feel the course is about, giving my perception of its relevance to work and life.
In a previous article shared on this platform, I talked about adulthood and the shock that comes with it. From the financial, psychological, and other areas, that transition takes a toll on almost everyone. Just this Easter weekend alone I have had to talk to younger friends facing this transition and as such battling depression. The moment I was able to get them to see where the issue was coming from, I could tell the relief. One was so relieved that I could tell by the difference in her physical appearance the next day.
You see, even when I try to be serious and talk like a lecturer, somehow, I find myself falling into the gist-givers category. After this write-up, I should probably have a critical thinking session to analyze this business problem. Stay with me on this one, I promise to make it worth your while and if for whatever reason I break the law, I would say if I perish I perish.
The course analysis of business problems for me goes beyond grooming us to become world-class managers or business administrators. For me, it is a life-saving tool that simplifies the complexities of adulthood, giving us analytical tools to break down what truly the problems are, and pinpoint logical ways to generate solutions and strategies. I presume this is the reason why we first thought to focus on our thinking to improve analytical strength to generate more solid decisions.
This is one course that has scared me the most yet the one I am most endeared to now because of my curiosity. I feel striking a healthy balance between this (ABP) and emotional intelligence while including teamwork would help birth results and strategies that would transverse even our business/career sphere into how we resolve our issues bothering finance, family and so many others.

Happiness: A Unique Inside Job!
