Nature of Human Being

Written by Oyeladun Aremu · 1 min read >

Many people have different beliefs and attitudes when it comes to what they consider as acceptable behavior. For some, being rude, condescending, or unprofessional is simply a part of their personality or a cultural norm. However, for others, this type of behavior is unacceptable and can be a major turn off.

Personally, I have always valued kindness, respect, and professionalism. Yet, I have encountered many individuals who do not share this perspective. It can be frustrating to work with or interact with people who exhibit a lackadaisical or nonchalant attitude, especially when it affects the productivity and morale of the workplace.

Fortunately, after taking a course on the nature of human beings and watching some video clips, I have come to the realization that my preference for good behavior is not strange nor wrong. In fact, treating others with respect and kindness is essential for building positive relationships and promoting a healthy work environment.

The importance of good behavior extends beyond personal preferences, however. As I learned in the course, how subordinates and employees are treated can significantly impact the future of any organization. If an organization is known for its toxic environment and work abuse, it can lead to low employee turnover rates, difficulty in attracting new talent, and a negative reputation that can ultimately harm the company’s success and survival.

This is why it is important for managers and leaders to recognize the value of good behavior and lead by example. As the course materials taught me, effective communication, interaction, and treatment of subordinates and staffs can be the difference between a thriving or failing organization. By promoting kindness, respect, and professionalism, managers can create a positive work environment that fosters employee satisfaction and productivity.

Moreover, the nature of human being course has taught me that good behavior is not only beneficial in the workplace, but in all aspects of life. Treating others with dignity and respect is essential for building healthy relationships, promoting a positive community, and creating a better world.

In conclusion, the nature of human beings is an essential course that teaches us about human behavior and reactions. It has taught me the importance of treating others with respect and dignity, especially in the workplace. As managers and leaders, we should lead by example and treat our subordinates and employees with kindness, respect, and professionalism. This will not only foster a positive work environment, but also ensure the success and survival of our organizations. Beyond the workplace, promoting good behavior is essential for building a better world for ourselves and others.
