Last month, I missed out on a very important visitor to our museum. Bruce Onobrakpeya, a renowned Nigerian artist who has made significant contributions to the African art scene, visited the Yemisi Shyllon museum of art and gave our team a treat. He explained in detail the backstory to all of his works on display in our exhibitions. His work is widely recognized for his innovative techniques and unique style, which have earned him numerous accolades and honors both nationally and internationally. On the 30th of August 2022, Onobrakpeya celebrated his 90th birthday, an important milestone that highlights his continued influence on the art world.
