If you’ve been reading my blog posts since these became a mandatory part of our week, to the tune of 3 posts a week (which I always leave till the last few hours of the weekly deadline), my ongoing relationship (or lack thereof) with Microsoft Excel,
I’ve since embraced the dark side and resolved to put some effort into getting comfortable with it. This week I took the first step towards that. Instead of enjoying my Easter like all of you, I mandated myself to partake in a 6 hour Microsoft Excel basic training session from 9am to 3am on Saturday.
I could not believe I sacrificed the only free Saturday I get for the next 2 years or so to this (un)worthy cause but there I was, half asleep at 8:47 am to resume the tutoring.
I actually enjoyed the session, and unlike the Saturday zoom sessions at LBS, I was offered tea, snacks and a to go pack of special fried rice at the end of the class. Why can’t LBS send us these complimentary packs every weekend I thought? For N7.2m the least we can get is one plate of rice every weekend, no? Anyway, I digress.
I and my tutor now plan to re work every (well some, or most) problem we’ve done across all the classes this semester where all the classes are relevant. I will continue to share progress updates here as the semester rolls along.
Happy Easter, everyone. You have one more day of rest (not, really, considering all the work that’s due) before the marathon resumes. Godspeed
