Every year in Nigeria, there’s always a certain ‘craze’ about destination places to visit and it’s always on the bucket list of most tourist. In 2021, the beautiful city of Dubai was top on the list.

Dubai is a city located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is known for its opulence, modern architecture, and luxurious lifestyle. It is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is the most populous city in the UAE, with a population of over 3 million people.

Dubai is a hub for international business and tourism, with a thriving economy that is driven by its oil industry, real estate, and financial services. The city has a skyline that is dominated by skyscrapers, with some of the most impressive buildings in the world, such as the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

It is also known for its luxury hotels and resorts, with some of the most opulent accommodations in the world. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities in Dubai, such as sandboarding, camel riding, and dune bashing in the nearby desert, or skiing and snowboarding at the indoor Ski Dubai.

Dubai is known for its many tourist attractions, some popular tourist attractions you may want to consider visiting:

  2. Dubai Mall: One of the world’s largest shopping malls, featuring over 1,200 stores, an aquarium, an ice rink, and a cinema.
  3. Dubai Fountain: A spectacular water and light show that takes place every evening in front of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall.
  4. Palm Jumeirah: An artificial island shaped like a palm tree, featuring luxury hotels, restaurants, and beaches.
  5. Dubai Miracle Garden: The world’s largest flower garden, featuring over 45 million flowers arranged in stunning designs and patterns.
  6. Dubai Creek: A historic waterway that divides the city into two parts, with traditional wooden boats (abra) ferrying passengers across.
  7. Dubai Museum: Located in the historic Al Fahidi Fort, the museum showcases Dubai’s history and culture.
  8. Dubai Marina: A man-made canal city that features luxury apartments, hotels, and restaurants, with a stunning waterfront promenade.
  9. Ski Dubai: An indoor ski resort with real snow, offering skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities.
  10. Jumeirah Beach: A beautiful public beach with white sand, crystal-clear water, and stunning views of the Burj Al Arab.

Dubai’s economy is primarily driven by tourism, real estate, and financial services. The city is home to many multinational corporations and is known for its bustling business district, which includes the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Visitors can explore the traditional markets, or souks, in the old town of Dubai, or visit the Dubai Museum to learn about the city’s history.
