As I sit in the Corporate financial accounting class, I am wondering to myself when I would become familiar with all the terms in the class and course.

The lectures are somewhat interesting but trying to under all the new stuff at the same time tends to get me confused. And then I ask myself βwho brought you here?β
As a medical doctor, accounting is not my everyday business. I guess the only time I calculate is when salary is paid or the period when you need to shop. So, sitting here now in such limited time having to identify the various types of financial statements and different accounts, knowing how to create balance sheets , interpret statements or evaluate and analyze these accounts , is very intriguing.
I like the new experiences, I usually just wish I had a lot more time to explore or fully get a hang of it before moving to another thing but like everything else in the program , time moves really fast and sadly you somehow have to find a balance.
Itβs encouraging to know that the lecturer always wants everyone to be carried along irrespective of your background. He tries to explain thoroughly to the tiniest detail. This and the help of my helpful classmates, give me the courage to forge ahead.
I understand the benefits of learning corporate financial accounting which is the process of recording , summarizing and reporting the financial transactions of a business or company, the importance to external and internal users of an organization, the information it provides about the performance and position of the business which is important for decision making ,so I know that gaining mastery of the terms and great knowledge of the course would be an addition and advantage for me , my business and career.
