For one word with a generalized meaning and concept, productivity is still relatively personal and measured differently for everyone; it is unique to the context it is being applied. Productivity from different perspectives can be seen in National productivity, business productivity, organizational productivity, personal productivity. In this post I will be focusing on personal productivity. You are the judge of what counts as productive to you. As a young adult, the moment your eyes pop open at dawn and your feet hit the ground, there is an automatic prompt in your brain that begins to reel off all the million and one things you must do for that day.

Productivity is “a measure of economic performance that compares the number of goods and services produced (output)with the number of goods and services. Productivity equals value. The quest to get out of bed is to determine what activities we engage in that will optimally result in us bringing closer to our desired goals. It is the visible product of our choices.

Being a highly productive individual sets you apart. Consistency in productivity shows a cultivated culture of discipline and dedication.

Steps to increasing your productivity.

  1. Planning: plan your day in detail , finishing your day before it begins .with the use of a jotter or planner or many digital tools now easily accessible, write out your day’s plan down to the hours of execution .this method of creating a to-do -list acts a reminder to look at and keep track of your activities.at the end of the day crossing off each item gives a sense of fulfillment having accomplished each task

2. Go to bed early: The old phrase ‘early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy. Wealthy and wise” implies that an early riser seems to get more done because they seemingly have longer hours. When you wake up early, you have time to process things and not just jumpstart straight into task waiting. You can meditate and prepare for your day.

3. Get your body in motion: Moving in the form of exercise, stretching, morning walks, or going on a run. This gives your brain a boost and your body a general surge of strength to carry you on for the day. it’s like brain fuel.

4. Set measures for your success: so, when you get to different time slots of the day, you know just where you are at. Remember, don’t be too hard on yourself.

Happiness: A Unique Inside Job!
