I find decision making at both personal and corporate level as extremely interesting topic.
And in other to achieve a well-structured decision-making process at both personal and corporate level it must be a systematic process. Most decision-making process are usually based on emotions and personal biases. The MBA programme is now making me understand reasons why it is important to clearly see the various possibilities through these systematic processes of identifying the problems in the case in question, causation, defined objectives or goals, search for alternatives, weighing the alternatives, making a choice from these alternatives as well as implementing those chosen alternatives and while we make our recommendations as an advice to our organization as the best fit outcome.
The MBA has given me a feel of the interconnectivity of the wide range of courses I am currently offering as how they are deeply connected with each other. With courses like Management communication which will helps me to be a good and better writer as well as affords me with public speaking confidence. In this course, I have seen the connection why I must write regularly in corporate reporting and to able make informed decisions with a given data.
While I am still dazed with the faculty making us write at every given opportunity on anything or area of interest. This few months in the programme is becoming an interesting phase of my life.
I wish to also talk about my Data Analytic programme and relating it life events and statistics. The probability events or possible outcomes of an occurrence is making and the link the course has with Analysis of Business Problem. The course is making so many participants on the programme ask themselves to probe questions while analysing the various cases. After each group meetings before the start of the days programme, my confidence level increase more the days case session with the faculty and coming into class we see some many areas and places we had not given our thought process into. The course is making us have a broader view about life and various interplays to events both seen and inferred in an activity.
In the Analysis of Business problem course, I hear the statistical terms of mutually exclusive events occurring and collectively exhaustive events. This is beginning to make me wonder a lot about how important each course is related.
With accounting background, I am relearning accounting now from what I already know. I have been told that so many of those assumptions which I already know are fallacies. With this relearning processes in CFA, I believe life will be quite better and interesting to be a sound financial analyst in the corporate world.
I believe as I progress in the course, it will completely reshape my life with better learning, planning, organizing my schedules, time management and some many areas of interest in life. I am gradually feeling a little bit of these with relationship around me especially with colleagues, family and friends at the receiving end. I am appealing for they all understand and cooperation with me for my mute and non-responding attitude to social and all non-essential activities at the moment.
Why the emotion?
