Attending Lagos Business School has been a game-changer for my career.

The knowledge and skills I am acquiring during my master’s program have been invaluable. I am gaining a deeper understanding of business strategy, leadership, and management through the study of Critical Thinking, Data Analytics, and Corporate Financial Accounting.

One of the key learnings from the exercises focused on Critical Thinking has been the importance of analyzing business problems from multiple perspectives. In today’s complex and ever-changing business environment, it is crucial to be able to think critically and systematically about problems and challenges that arise. The Critical Thinking course has helped me develop this skill by teaching me various tools and techniques to assess and evaluate information from different sources. I have learned how to identify assumptions, recognize biases, and evaluate evidence to arrive at well-informed and reasoned conclusions.

Another subject that is proving particularly useful for me is Data Analytics. In the age of Big Data, the ability to analyze and interpret data is essential for making informed business decisions. My coursework in Data Analytics is really helping me with the technical skills and knowledge needed to gather, process, and analyze large sets of data. I have learning how to identify patterns and trends in data, and to develop predictive models that can help businesses forecast future trends and outcomes.

Finally, my coursework in Corporate Financial Accounting is helping lay a solid foundation in financial management and accounting principles. I am learning so much. We are studying how to read and interpret financial statements, understand the various financial ratios and metrics used in business analysis, and develop budgets and forecasts for business operations. By learning how to understand the financial implications of various business decisions, I am able to apply these skills to my job within the Real Estate industry as the knowledge of the financial health of the company I work for allows me to identify potential risks and opportunities and develop effective strategies for growth, and make sound investment decisions for my boss.

Overall, my experience at Lagos Business School has been incredibly enriching and rewarding thus far. The courses I am taking in Critical Thinking, Data Analytics, and Corporate Financial Accounting are providing me with a solid foundation in key business skills that I can apply to a wide range of industries and real life business setting.

Through our interactive exercises and projects, I have also had the privilege to work with a diverse group of classmates, who have challenged me to think critically and creatively about business problems and solutions. I am positive that the skills and knowledge I am acquiring through my Master’s program will serve me well as I continue to grow and develop as a business professional.
