Juggling MBA, Work, Motherhood

Written by Motunrayo Ojo · 1 min read >

Balancing work, pursuing an MBA, and being a mom is like trying to juggle too many balls at once. It’s tough and leaves you feeling tired all the time.

Imagine having a job with its own set of stress – deadlines, meetings, and a never-ending to-do list. That’s one ball you’re trying to keep in the air. Then, there’s the MBA, where you’re expected to study hard and do well. Another ball to juggle. On top of that, you’re a mom, dealing with the needs of your child day and night – yet another ball.

The real challenge is when you try to do all these things at once. Nights spent studying are followed by early mornings at work. Then, you rush home to be there for your children. It’s a constant struggle, and there’s no time to rest.

Society doesn’t make it any easier. There’s this idea that you can be the perfect employee, the star student, and the ideal mom all at once. But in reality, it’s just too much. It’s like you’re expected to be a superhero, and it’s exhausting.

The tiredness isn’t just physical – it’s also emotional. Feeling like you’re not doing well enough in any of your roles, the fear of failing, and the guilt of missing out on important family moments – it all adds up.

In the end, it’s not just about being tired. It’s about feeling overwhelmed and constantly battling to keep everything together. Society needs to recognise and appreciate the huge effort it takes for women in this situation. Instead of putting on more pressure, we should be offering support and understanding. Only then can we truly understand what it’s like for these women who are trying their best to juggle it all.
