EXPLORING THE MAJESTIC LBS CAMPUS #MMBA5

Written by Ikenna Eneje · 1 min read >

Embarking on my inaugural visit to the renowned Lagos Business School (LBS) located on the bustling Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos was nothing short of a delightful adventure. As I set foot on the premises one Saturday, anticipation and curiosity enveloped me, uncertain of what awaited within the walls of this prestigious graduate business school.

LBS, also known as Pan-Atlantic University, stands as a beacon of academic excellence since its establishment in 1991. With the hefty tuition fees paid by students each session, I held high expectations for the physical environment. To my satisfaction, the campus exceeded any preconceived notions, presenting a serene oasis that offered respite from the chaotic traffic of the Lagos expressway.

The meticulously maintained surroundings exuded an air of sophistication. The addition of fountains adorned the landscape, infusing elegance and vibrancy into the ambiance. These water features seamlessly blended with the environment, creating a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere that resonated throughout the school’s premises.

Upon entering the campus, I encountered a vigilant guard who inquired, “How may I direct you, sir?” I promptly identified myself as an MMBA5 student, and with a noticeable grin, he handed me a tally, granting me access to explore the premises at my leisure.

Navigating the campus for the first time, I found myself unsure about the specific areas designated for MMBA5 students. After a brief interaction with my fellow colleagues, I located a suitable parking spot and embarked on a quest for knowledge within the expansive LBS edifice.

Contrary to my initial assumption of multiple buildings serving distinct purposes, I discovered that LBS was housed in one colossal structure that encapsulated the entirety of the institution. As an architect, entering this architectural marvel was an invigorating experience. The attention to detail in every facet of construction, from purposeful courtyards, both concealed and open, to the choice of building materials, vents, and structural elements, left me in awe. My eyes and mind feasted on the meticulous design, prompting me to wonder why I hadn’t ventured here sooner.

Settling into the syndicate room where my peers gathered, I commenced my classes and forged new connections. While this marks the end of my initial encounter, I assure you that there is more to unravel about my first day at LBS in my upcoming posts. Stay tuned for the continuation of my enriching experience on this academic journey. Until next time!

Happiness: A Unique Inside Job!
