There goes the old saying “when in Rome act like the Romans”. This was my disposition after attending the one day online Orientation at the Lagos Business School and discovering the rules and regulation of this prestigious school. However, my disposition slowly became my Admonition as I speedily became fascinated on the culture at this school. I was so intrigued with every aspect of the school that i became a roman citizen in the space of 3 weeks without even knowing it. lol! After careful self evaluation, i had discovered the reason why I had adopted the Values and Principles of the LBS as a lifestyle and not just as a means to an end. These reasons are highlighted below:
The World Class Facility
In the heart of a bustling city like Lagos, hidden amidst a busy environment, lies a great educational facility that stands as a testament to the pursuit of knowledge, innovation, and academic excellence. This remarkable institution, the epitome of a dream realized, has become a sanctuary for the curious minds of generations past and present. The very essence of this place exudes an air of inspiration and enlightenment, making it a true oasis of learning in a world of intellectual thirst.
The moment I stepped foot into the meticulously manicured grounds of this educational facility, a sense of awe washed over me as I instantly became a proud student of the LBS. The campus stretches out, resembling a miniature paradise in the midst of the urban Lagos jungle. Majestic trees provide shade to wandering students and visitors, and flowers in a riot of colors bloom in the impeccably maintained gardens. It’s a sanctuary where one can escape the chaos of the outside world and immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere of academia.
Slowly, the facilities at LBS were speaking excellence and intentionality to me without having a physical contact with anyone. I was amazed. I became dissatisfied with mediocrity and I made a personal resolute to be neat and professional in all wise. The architecture of the educational facility is a work of art in itself. From classical pillars that speak of tradition to modern glass structures that symbolize innovation, the buildings blend seamlessly, creating a harmonious fusion of the past and the future. The library, a cathedral of knowledge, houses a treasure trove of books from various epochs. With its towering shelves and cozy reading nooks, it beckons students to explore the vast world of literature.
The classrooms are not just rooms for lectures; they are spaces where minds are nurtured and dreams are realized. The classrooms are always well lighted with world class equipment which make it easy for all student to be heard and seen. I was also encouraged by the size of the world class stadium; a football pitch sized stadium encourages physical exercises. This speaks of the physical well being intention of this school. From the different floors of this prestigious school, I could observe several artifacts, artworks by students were proudly placed in several section of the school. LBS is not just an educational institution it is a world class facility where brilliant inventors are encouraged to come to get inspiration.
The faculty
At the heart of any great educational facility is its faculty, the nurturing souls who shape young minds. The educators here at the LBS are more than teachers; they are mentors, guiding their students on a journey of discovery. These experts in their fields are passionate about sharing their knowledge and igniting the flames of curiosity in their pupils. The faculty are world class in all wise of the word. There is a faculty department dedicated to every aspect of your LBS experience. The faculty members are intentional and all-round professional in dispensing their duties. The attitude of the faculty members in the space of three weeks I have been at this school has been nothing but encouraging and seamless. I have been blown away by their intentionality and I have made a personal resolute to pattern my customer service in this likeness.

This amongst other matters are the reasons why I have become a proud LBS citizen and not just a mere observer who only observes the rules. But I have decided to be one who will apply this school values to every part of my life.
