MY LAGOS BUS STORY

Written by Omalicha · 57 sec read >

On my to work on friday, something funny happened.

So typically, conductors call the bustops, and you are meant to signal that you would alight at your bustop by saying “o wa ” . Unfortunately for this middle aged woman the conductor didn’t mention the name of that bustop and she didnt say anything either. I suppose she assumed the bus would stop at that place considering it is a popular bustop .

The bus didnt stop and she had to start yelling at the driver to stop but they had passed and the next stop is minutes away . There was chaos in the bus. The woman insists it wasn’t her fault that the conductor should have called bus stops.

She kept screaming and I was on my phone the entire time. When we got to the next stop, she said she can’t get down cos she would need 100 naira to go back and didnt have money on her. I looked at her, brought out 200 naira and gave her .This woman totally ignored me . I told her to come down and take keke back to her bustop she refused. She however thanked me and said she wants to teach the conductor and driver a lesson. She told the driver she would join them to the last bustop wait for him to load and join them back and stop at her bustop at no cost.

We got to the last bustop and this woman sat there, the conductor asked her to get down she didn’t flinch , I looked at her ,shook my head and walked away.

Lagosians are crazy!
