Why does it look like those who do wrong prosper whereas those who do what is right suffer? Do not prosper. Why is it that? People who tend to cheat, lie and commit virtually all the things that tend to be called taboo, prosper. Why is it that those of us who walk in the ways of the righteous and try the best we can to walk in uprightness and justness tend to Suffer?
Today at work, we discovered that a guy whom we all viewed as a comfortable and smart-looking guy had been cheating and scamming/reaping the company all the while. He brings clients and charges them more than the company’s usual rates, gets his own add-ons deducted before making the balance payment to the company, charges more rates for services he introduces to the company, pays the actual fee, and ensures to deduct the excess for his pocket, and he walked away, sometimes he diverts deals from the company where he works to his own private registered company.
Today the tables turned, he did a deal with one of the company’s big clients but with his private company, this was revealed when the deal went south and things fell apart, this is someone that everyone looked at as a big boy, comfortable, someone who could buy as much as the 150,000-naira worth of drinks at one sitting, and on how much salary? Yet no one knew he was making his money from cunny ways to make ends meet and to keep up with appearances.
How some people prioritize their wealth over a good name is surprising, well it is what it is.
Then there is this lady, though beautiful, intelligent, and diligent lady she could hardly move up the ladder in the company, yet a lady who came into the organization with little or no experience doing barely little within the organization, within a short period of stay in the company, became one of the major decision-makers in it. And you begin to ask yourself, how come the process is so much in her favour? Then you discover that there is a romantic relationship between her and the Managing Director of the company. Wow! Another shot at Life.
Then you begin to ask yourself and God why those of us who put our heads down to read our books, write professional exams, and all, just remain in one spot, how those who do just seem not to make good progress despite the much effort they put into their duties.
Life over time has proven not to be very easy for the seemingly just but for those who find shortcuts to achieving success. Causing me to always wonder why God allows certain things to happen the way it does.
Well. Life has a way of doing its own thing so what do we do but continue to strive for the best till we attain it and ensure to do it the just way not minding how others are going about it as I have come to know over time, a good name can not be bought therefore should be treasured far above wealth.
The key to achieving greatness is staying focused and it will come.
