Journey through EMBA

Written by Aminu Ibrahim · 1 min read >

The days seem to pass quickly as exams approach. I seem to remember all the teachings from the virtual class, the interactions and what have you. It makes me look forward more.

As an Executive MBA (EMBA) student, I have been fortunate to have access to a wealth of knowledge and resources from the comfort of my own home. It is amazing how the world is forever Changing. I remember my Bsc days, when we just had to attend classes in person regardless of inconveniences and While the online format presented its own unique challenges, I have found the experience to be transformative in terms of my personal and professional growth.

One of the most significant learnings from my EMBA program is the importance of adaptability and resilience. The online format required me to be flexible and adaptive to changing circumstances. I had to learn how to manage my time effectively and stay motivated despite the lack of face-to-face interaction with my peers and professors.

Through this experience, I’m glad to have developed a greater appreciation for the importance of resilience and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, both in my personal and professional life.

Another important lesson from my EMBA program is the value of interdisciplinary thinking. One of the benefits of virtual classroom is the ability to interact with students from diverse backgrounds and industries. Understand others perspectives their thoughts and also how to approach problems from multiple angles. This interdisciplinary thinking has helped me to become a more effective problem-solver in my professional and personal life.

The EMBA program has also taught me the importance of data-driven decision-making especially when we first talked about data analysis. In today’s data-driven world, it is essential to be able to collect and analyze data to make informed decisions. Through case studies and assignments, I have learned how to use data to identify trends and patterns, and make informed decisions based on this analysis, as they say, “Data is the new oil.”As data analysis has become a critical component of client engagements.

Finally, the EMBA program has provided me with a valuable network of peers and mentors. The online format has not hindered rather it sharpened my ability to connect with classmates and professors, and I have found the online community to be just as supportive and engaging as an in-person classroom. The program has provided me with opportunities to connect with different set of individuals and their thoughts, providing me with valuable insights and perspectives on the business and the whole world at large.

I will continue looking forward to more, as the ocean of knowledge is forever growing. It’s been an exciting, challenging and worth it journey.

I wish us all the best on our journey and good luck in the forthcoming exams.

I hope we all learnt and achieved what we came for!
