With nothing short of marvel my experiences at Lagos Business School has in so many ways exceeded my expectations, starting from from our brush up. Which is more like an introduction to the MBA program.
The intensive week is a week long period where student of the modular MBA programs take full time classes, which is mostly advised to be attended at school premises for the benefits of a physical interactions amongst fellow students and faculty members. But provisions are also made for students who for any reason couldn’t make it physically to attend classes online.
Other than, the intensive week, my experience during the MBA program has been awesome. I have come to learn a great deal in so short a time and even those things I ready knew, I have been taught to be more intentional with them. Just like “ Thinking about my thinking, while I’m Thinking”…Smiles…
One of our amazing lectures thought us that. If you were wondering that is from our Analysis of Business Problems course.
One other lecture that has been very impactful to me is our class on emotional intelligence.
It took my coming to the Lagos Business School to fully grasp what it means and how important it is to us both in our private lives and professional.
I never could have thought, we do need a good level of emotional intelligence in our corporate lives, talk more of knowing it can be a limitation to how far one can go as a true leader.
I never thought of it in that light.
Also, LBS has helped me, a Civil Engineer by training get a better understanding and interest in financial accounting. One of our courses I’m hoping to get an optimal use of.
Accounting has never been sometime I thought, I couldn’t relate with.
But, thanks to our amazing lectures who don’t stop reminding us of how, we can do all things as MBA students, even going to the extents of joking refering to us as immortals….Smiles
These are just a few of the great things we are learning at Lagos Business School.
Management communication, Data analytics, time management etc are some of our other amazing courses.
Even things as seemingly negligible yet so very important, like dressing, dinner manners are some of the beautiful things we are taught.
In conclusion, I would say LBS is truly living up to the expectations and in some ways exceeding it even though we are just at the beginning of the program with so many more to come. Not to talk of the power alumni community it has.
Till, my next article. Have a great time.
