Have you caught yourself looking at you through the lens of growth? You know when you are young and then you’ve suddenly grown an inch overnight. Growth is an irreversible increase in development, which can be used in a different context. In life, we are not always a specific type of way. We yearn consciously or unconsciously for a sense of higher self, for a better self-drawn to a calling like we keep hearing a ring from afar just to Be.
Growth is a beautiful thing to notice, honor, value, acknowledge, and not hinder. Often, we are our stumbling block, the foot behind the door of others; we feel the exhilaration of conquering the world. I associate growth with pressure, but yes, like they say, the best diamonds have been through the hottest and toughest of fires and withstood the most pressure. Honestly, on some days, you wake up feeling like paper, and on others, like the world’s rarest diamond ball.
Call me whimsy or whimsical I choose to be more excited about every chapter of life; it’s all a giant book whose pages we keep opening daily—each day, each month, and each year with its script. Sometimes we encounter so many differences in experiences and emotions all in one chapter, and in some others, there’s a certain stillness, stillness sometimes that we crave, and at other times, we think it’ll be the death of us.
Then the concept of a defining moment hits us, a pivotal decision that ultimately changes you and the course of your past; unforgettable, positive, maybe negative, but I will say it’s always a teachable one, probably not in that moment undeniable when reflected on. This can be argued, but I beg to differ. The questions I seek to ask daily are if we are to experience multiple defining moments and if there is some ratio to the good or bad moments, do some of these moments ever feel like a Faux? or are we overthinking it? Should we expect of them, or do they creep up on us, and boom, it’s a whole new terrain we find ourselves on? Dear reader, do you define yourself by these events?
Navigating life, the uncharted territories of our dreams, the quest to becoming, the crush in our spirits when things don’t go as planned, the victories, the conquest, the battle of identity, be a dreamer walk in the direction of your peace never hesitate to take a pause, be immersed in your moments and don’t burn mentally with questions you can’t seem to answer, in due time they will materialize right before your eyes, You will look back and say oh for this reason this was.
