Our existence on earth as human is entwined with seconds, minute ,and hour of each day. As abstract as time is, it plays a great deal of role in the success, downfall, advancement or misfortune that might affect man. It is said that “life is in stages”, therefore a process has to be followed. The stages of life happen to align with timing. Therefore, it may seem impossible to jump, skip or overtake processes.
If one can identify with the processes involve in working with time ,one might not have been running helter-skelter trying to attain some level of greatness.
Don’t get it twisted, I am not against having a mindset of greatness, nor attaining the utmost height of your dream.
The point here is that we all should cherish and understand the power of time, just like a farmer understands the season, we should be alert to time and the opportunities that come with each second, minute, hour and day. Having an understanding of time helps us to plan , strategize and execute our ideas, thought and plans.
Now let us take a look at the developmental stages in a child development, after a few month of a child’s birth , we will notice that at a certain month the child starts to sit and attempts to crawl independently and some months later the child starts to walk. Notice that this process can never be fast tracked no matter how smart or swift your parenting techniques might be. No child will never walk at 4 or 5 months, even at 6months, though there might be rare cases of some walking at 7months . If a child is forced before this stage, then there will definitely be a problem, if we relate this to our daily activities and plans; we might be able to see that we can never jump a process in life. We can not force a or override a stage in life, we need to come to an understanding of the each stage we find ourselves and make a judicious use of that stage. W e all have our dreams and aspirations but we should however remember that understanding time will actually help us to achieve theses dreams effortlessly. A man that understands time understands life and will struggle less. Everything is not about activities but about about calculating, strategizing and making moves just like a chess player. There is a great deal of lesson in the ’emi lokan ” syndrome which we all need to think and deliberate on.
we will delve into this some other time but for now i will leave you with this thought” avoid activities but do more of critical thinking and strategizing.
