Its a beautiful afternoon in Lagos, the environment is cozy and relaxing, only interrupted by the footsteps of women moving around in high heels and their fancy plain dresses, The glasses of the hallway reflecting the sunlight as it cuts across them to provide extra lightning for the Pan African art works that adorn the Hallway. The view from outside should be equally mesmerizing, yes it is! From well mowed lawns stretching down the property to well organized parking spaces and shade trees. One can agree that this is an environment where learning is exchanged, one can clearly see that this is Lagos business school.

We have just finished our class executive elections and i can now find some respite in the cafeteria, here i meet all types of people, from Bourgeoise to really sophisticated people discussing over lunch, laughing heartily, immersed in some form of online reading or just enjoying the moment, in this setting, it is quite difficult to distinguish, who is here to teach from who is here to be taught.

Back to the classrooms, the setting is unarguably world class, and the hearing and visual aids that adorn the classrooms perfectly bridges the gap between education and technology, nonetheless i find the classmates giggling sometimes when our lecturers seem to struggle with the the touchscreen boards or similar devices. This is a decent place for learning, the staff and lecturers are well mannered and patient,

My experience with LBS has been an eye opener for post graduate learning, the punctuality of our lecturers and the strict adherence to timing is something that has to be praised, well, the faculty is teaching us how to be punctual so i guess they are leading from the front. Considering the type of lecturers we have had so far, i have tried to imagine the criteria considered when appointing lecturers, our lecturers are happy people, patient with us at every turn, entertaining our questions even when the answers to our questions seem to be very obvious, I still think there is a bit of work that can be done here, a feedback medium should be established to measure if the students actually understand and enjoy the method of teaching, and if the method is effective, I have noticed that we are lagging behind in almost every course and certainly, this fault can not be attributed to the students only, either the method of teaching is changed, or creative ways are sought out which can enhance learning, the bulk of my classmates are returning to school after a long time, and myself, i am new to learning by technology, i am sure that the existing teaching methods can still be revised and refined into a simpler way which will make learning more desirable and practical,

It may have been borne out of necessity or just sheer foresight to have assigned us a program manager because i can not fathom the level of confusion i and my classmates would have experienced if not for Kayode, our program manager. In conclusion, LBS is a great place for learning and apparently, it rivals any business school that is in Nigeria, i can proudly say this in terms of learning environment and planning, i am confident that i will be confirm this in my future blog posts. Also, I must confess that this is a very hectic program to undertake albeit an enjoyable one.

Freeing the Muse.. Good bye and see you next time.
