Data Analytics and it’s Intricacies in MMBA4

For the past 4 years in the course of my Career and present Job role, I have come in contact with one thing or another that has to do with data analysis. The more I run, the more it comes close, literally staring at my face. I think so, because in terms of numbers , I will rate my self a little below average. Its always been a struggle during high school and university days to get a B in math and statistics. I usually get graded with C and very rarely a B. I would say that in cases where I got a B, I must have had sleepless all night study and cramming to get the B grade, As far as I am concerned, I do not think its worth the stress when other subjects like English and biology comes very easy to me. I know I am smart and proactive but at the same time, I love the soft-life.
Now back to the data analysis matter, I am beginning to come to terms with the fact that this is a necessary evil I must conquer in other to have an edge in the career I have found myself and now embraced.

My first degree is in Soil Science but today I am a sales Professional and I love what I do. Closing deals is no big deal for me, but strategizing based on figures is difficult. At the same time, preparing my report for the MD is always a mess. I enrolled in a Data analytics crash course in 2020 but I couldn’t complete or learn anything. Of course what do you get from a crash course on data analytics?
Now in Lagos Business School MMBA4, our facilitators are Francis Okoye and Dr. Bongo Adi. Some how, they have been able to demystify the course through their approach in the Brush up session and introductory class. Dr. Bongo also mentioned that the skill is a very useful one to earn money as a side Hussle on Upwork. Upwork is a free lancing website where skilled professionals are linked with people or companies who need their services.

Honestly, this has got me more interested in the course. Unlike me, after every class I want to go back and revise more. I am excited . I know there will be more challenging task ahead but I am determined not to fail this time. Afterall, the best version of myself is what I strive for.
