Time management is a technique to increase the time available to pursue activities- king et Al, 1986. Time is of great essence, no wonder the biblical book of Ecclesiastes stated that there is time for everything.
Time is indispensable. Every action we take requires time.
Time is perishable. Every unutilized time cannot be saved for later use.
Time is consumable. You can only spend it.
Time is irreplaceable, you can never bring back time.
Time is sufficient. It all depends on how you utilize it.

There is a need for us to plan our time. Many times, we exhaust more time on non-important items, such as social media, emails, and chats which results in no future ambition and not achieving long-term goals. Time requires self-discipline, self-mastery, and self-control. Time is life management. It is precious and expensive, so utilize it well. The key is to prioritize your time.
Have you ever wondered why we tend to be so stressed out and always in a hurry to accomplish a task? It is because we do not plan. If you fail to plan, there is a high chance that you will not get the job accomplished.
Growing up, one thing that was common with my mum is lateness to church. Lol. My mum can never make it early to mass no matter how she tries, because she will wake up being busy yet doing nothing. On sampling opinions of 10 working-class mums. I realize that 8 out of 10 are struggling with time management. There is a need for one to plan his or her time.
The 4- D of time management are:
Dump it – if it is not important, dump it. It is a time waster.
Delegate it. It is important, but someone else can do it.
Defer it – it is not critical. It can wait.
Do it – it is important, you need to do it now and no one else can do it.
There is a need to always have these Ds in mind, for the effective utilization of our time. There is a need for one to make a Dump, Delegate, and Defer list for proper time management.
The psychology of time management is
Self-affirmation. You need to believe that you can do it. You must have a positive mindset and then it will become a reality.
Start your day on a productive note. For example, make your bed once you wake up in the morning. Do something good to start off your day on a good note.
Act the part: act as if you are efficient and organized. Don’t be afraid of failures or mistakes.
Give yourself an opportunity to succeed.
Visualise success, and celebrate small victories. Once you have this mindset, you will make maximum use of your time.
What kills time the most is procrastination. we tend to procrastinate a lot on tasks we should have accomplished or even delegate, and we end up struggling to accomplish them at the last hour. Avoid procrastinating on things you can handle immediately to avoid rush hour. Plan your time and see how you will excel in all you do.
