THE POWER OF VISION

Vision is the capacity to see ahead, the ability to think about the future with imagination or wisdom, it is the source and hope of life. One can look confidently into the future, if their vision for tomorrow is crystal clear. Clarity of vision seem to be the foundation or platform for growth, knowing where you are heading to, is key to arriving safe and on time. Have you ever received an invitation to travel to an unknown destination or better still an invite to a wedding in an unfamiliar location, it’s exhausting to consider the amazing effort and planning that will be required to get to our desired destination.

Without a doubt vision is a key ingredient in attaining success in life, even in carrying out a short- or long-term project. The ability to see clearly, the road ahead of you, makes the journey smooth and easy. Some months ago, I had a meaningful experience about clarity of vision. I remember enrolling for a leadership masterclass , I was excited, too eager to download all the new learning required to become an outstanding leader, I remember vividly the shock I had on my face, when the facilitator took over the class, she said and I quote, “We are going nowhere with this leadership course, without first asking ourselves in clear terms, where we are going to”, who are you? what is your mission or purpose here on earth.

The topic, clarity of vision, became the foundational course for every topic we had to understand in that season of learning. The big question is, some may ask, how do I build clarity of vision?

Helpful tips to sharpen our Vision;

Quiet and still space; to come to terms with one’s spirit, to be still to know and to seek to understand is a true necessity, for gaining clarity of vision, to bring deep questions to the surface, will require calmness, a dive into yourself, confrontational questions, that will unravel the deepest desires in us.

Ask the relevant questions; Where are we going to? What do you want to be known for? What should I be doing? Where do I want to be in the next ten years, there are many questions that are relevant for building a clear vision and setting oneself in the right direction.

Map out the milestones; that are required to get your envisioned destination, strategies, expectation, sacrifice to be made in order to arrive safe, all these and more will help us move faster on the right track. Vision for different aspects of our life is very key, vision for life, family, career, business and community.

The capacity to create clarity, will guarantee the kind of success we desire, his will bring fulfillment, happiness, impact and influence in the society, we become answers to questions, solutions to problems. A fulfilled life will results to legendary living, leaving behind a legacy in the sands of time. This creates open doors, abundance of possibilities and limitless living, clarity pays.
