Another day, another week at the prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS) has been a very exciting week filled up with learning in another pattern which is tagged “the intensive week” for EMBA28.
The Lagos Business School (LBS) Executive MBA intensive week do occur, once a week dedicated to learning at each semester by reviewing all modules and detailed study of five days in a week, staring within the hours of 9am till 12Noon with a short break or interlude for an early Morning dose of lectures and continue at 1:15pm till 4:00pm for the second dose with seasoned faculty engaging and sharing industry tips or nuggets and best practices approach on how well each course will have more meaning when we become a graduate of Lagos Business School (LBS) Executive MBA.
We started well with smiles on our face with two Modules per day as scheduled in the Lagos Business School (LBS) Executive MBA time table and got stretched in between when and where assignment and course work(s), where competing at each other, and we ought to prioritise what we will do first due to other deliverables. Indeed, this is a “litmus test” for some of us who have been out learning for a while or study after decade(s). However, change is inevitable by going through this transformative career process that will yield beautiful result as we journey along.
We enjoyed every moment through pain to gain even when it is not palatable in between with the “new baptism” style of learning.
Alas! No wonder, we were given an initiation into speed reading and scanning of several pages in order to enlighten us on what is about to come our way. I see my colleague doing speed reading, scanning cases of several pages of case study review at every sub-group and main group for the delivery of both individual and group assignments or course works. I enjoyed every bot of the diverse views of my colleague’s where we disagree to agree, for most group assignment and they do this respectfully with quality civil conversation, great enthusiasm, and empirical data to lay credence on their claims, emotional intelligence, professionalism, pathrneship and assertiveness.
I must confess now, that I have clusters of extended family called EMBA 28 Group with other cousins of Executive EMBA28 Group two, three and four respectively. These set of men and women are indeed a blessing in disguise during and after each sessions by being vulnerable to unlearn, learn and re-learn with great hands of fellowship to bond with one another.
We laughed, frown, debate, disagree, agree, edutain, express, chant, Jokes, and relate with each other as if we have been together for the past decades.
I enjoyed the extensive week that makes us bond but a bit strenuous because its been a while we had such stretched coupled with real family and other associated life style that we are used to.
At this moment, I recommend that Lagos Business School (LBS) Executive MBA should issue a certificate of attendance for the Executive EMBA intensive week being a moment of thorough learning and true discovery because I am discovering myself every moment and getting value for money as student of Lagos Business School (LBS) Executive MBA.
