I enjoyed football both to play and watch as thrilled from age 9 while i was in Primary school. I learnt how to dribble and become more focus to tackle and challenge my opponent.
Aside from learning how to play football, I have interest in other sport such as Playing golf, Lawn tennis, Table tennis and do more of weekly Cycling with limit of 40km/hr distance and at the pace of 25km/hr minimum respectively.
I do not engage in swimming despite the temptation of having to swim at most hotel that I visit often during any seminar, strategy sessions or Holidays but enjoyed Football mostly and cycling that all other sports.
My interest edge more on football and made a choice to join a Liverpool as a registered fan April 25, 1994 which tend to be my birthday 29 years ago.
I joined Liverpool due to her slogan with the acronym YNWA meaning You Will Never Walk alone; which tends to align with my principle in life never to walk alone but with the act of holyspirit to help me in the game of life as I grow up both in body, soul and spirit. Hence, reciting the Liverpool anthem becomes a great delight to every moment for every match play that keeps me going in life…..herewith the Liverpool anthem below for your maximum enjoyment:
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There’s a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
For your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone
I was a young lad that believe so much with the Liverpool anthem beyond ordinary words but like a creed for my watch word not only on football but every words count at what I do. Guess what? I was selected and had the opportunity to play for Principal cup at the age of 13Years old with other kids while I was in Junior Secondary School Three Mid School and play as an attacking mild filed player.
I enjoyed good dribbling and utmost entertainment with good skill of team player with opportunity that was giving to me at that moment but we did not win the principal cup but played third place match were our school became 3rd and we receive Bronze medal .Not only that, one of my team member Friday Ekpo was giving most valuable player of the Year for the Principal cup tournament and we were glad that we participated well at the tournament.
This become a moment of truth for my path towards career in football and ardent fan of Liverpool for the past 29years.
Today becomes a great history in the world of football and premier league where Liverpool scored seven goals against her major rival in English football Manchester united with the record that Manchester had never concede seven goals to any opponent in premier league until today March 05, 2023.
I rejoice once again with Liverpool become more delighted as a proud Liverpool fan haven’t lost some matches in time past but having seven goals “makes us seat well” in the premiership league Table.
I will be discussing other sport in my next sport series as you follow me closely because watching football not enough but having a cross training other sport makes the flavour of life.
