First time at the lagos business school

Written by Ngozi Ilekuba · 1 min read >

Walking into the school for the first time for me, was an exciting experience .

A very serene enviroment, very cheerful and well groomed staffs, starting from the security men, the front desk, and addmission staffs who attended to me.

A system quite different from other institutions alike. I was told that i needed to write a test and an interview afterwards if the test comes out successful.

Filled with joy at the outcome of the test and interview, i saw glad that i will be given the opportunity to achieve my altimate goal of self development which was why i sort addmission at the school. The school organized an orientation programme, and a brush up programme after wards. The brush up programme was meant to offer us a smooth transition into the rigorous academic programme of the school. I attended the orientation programme at the begining of the session in Jan 2023. There we were told about the schools policies , I had the oppurtunity to socialize and interact with other executives and facilitators present.

So far, i have had fullfilling experiences, learning the need to balance my studies, work, as well as taking care of the family. I met with other executives from different sectors and ready to learn from their great wealth of knowlege. Time management is of great importance as the programme is so demanding. You would have to attend classes as well as submit assignmrnts at the appropriate time.

The lectureres/ facilitators are of great caliber. Well seasoned and with high level of experience , always ready to simplify teaching for easy understanding. Here, you would be trained to think out of the box at every given business problem you are faced with. There is a very good exixting lecturer students realtionship that would forster great learning.

Extra curricular activities are not left out, we were introduced to various informative and educative clubs which also help in moulding us as great business excecutives. learning resources are made available at the elearn platform in the schools portal. The class has been divided into sub groups where we get to have group discussions, practice questions and help one another have a hitch free academics experience. I have been able to get a lot of insights, and at the same time having stronger convinctions on the need for my quest to get registered at the business school.

I am most greatful to the formators of the school for putting in place the structure and curriculum towards moulding well seasoned business executives.
