In whatever you do, there would always be outliers. Some people would always be better, smarter, faster than you. This sometimes makes me especially feel less of myself because I focus on other people’s strength and even though I envy it and wish it could be me, I remember we cannot all be the same. We all have our individual strengths and every one of us has one thing or the other we are best at. Finding this thing, developing it and keeping at it can be a chore.
In whatever situation you find yourself, a couple of intentional or unintentional actions have led you to that position. So, it could have been good or bad deeds but it’s up to you figure out what exactly has brought you to that point and what you have to do keep moving. While you’re figuring this out it comes with a whole lot of uncertainties but one thing, I have slowly learnt is taking time to reflect on how you navigated previous situations would provide insights to solve your current challenges. When you are not where you want to be even though you are putting in your best and it seems like those doing less have more results to show its easy to derail at this point, lose focus and even give up on your goals but this really is the time to stay put and keep doing your thing. I believe there is a perfect time for everything in life to actualize and nobody ever knows when this moment is. When you stop focusing on yourself, you might be pushing/delaying your success day.
To make the scale of life balance, there cannot be too much success or failure at a time. This means at a particular time; it would be abnormal if 20 out of 20 people were doing totally fine on the same scale. While some might be doing extremely well, the others that are not there yet are not failures at all but just at that time are going through a process or filling some position to make the scale of life balance. At this point, it is important for these people to pay attention to whatever they are doing or going through because there is a lesson to be added to your bag which you’d need later in life. This lesson could be meeting certain people, learning a skill, building your confidence, a change of mentality or just being a better person overall.
So in essence, rather than worrying about not being the best at what you do or not being exactly where you want to be, take your time to do what you know how to do the best way you can do it and ensure you do it with so much joy because as you spend more time at it, you gradually grow into being that perfect image you always imagined. One other important thing you should know is whatever you think isn’t good enough is perfection to someone else and they are struggling really hard to have what you under value or be where you are.
