 Glory Unforeseen

A certain man planted a rose flower and watered it faithfully. Before the plant blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom and also the thorns.

“How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? He thought within himself.

Saddened by this thought, he did not bother to water the rose plant, and before it was ready to bloom, it died.

So it is with many people, especially me. Within every soul there is a rose flower. The God – like qualities in us at birth grow amid the thorns of our faults and imperfection.

Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns. We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us.  We neglect to water the good within us.

Why do you compare yourself to others?

Do you know that there is a great hidden potential(s) in you despite your many failures and present battles?

Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them.

In dealing with people, you must look at the person and despite knowing his faults, recognize the nobility in his soul. If we show them the rose, they will conquer their thorns.

Helping others to discover the 🌹 rose in them is helping the weak.

Helping others to build their gift/talents is helping the weak.

Ray Kroc wrote: “The more I help others to succeed, the more I succeed.”

Bob Moawad said: “Helping others get ahead, you will always stand taller with someone else on your shoulders.”

Martin Luther King also noted: “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve others. You Don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s theory of relativity to serve. You don’t have to know the second law of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You don’t need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Jesse Jackson also said: ” Never look down on anybody unless you are helping them up.”

Save a drowning man and teach him how to swim tomorrow. Give a man fish first before you teach him how to fish otherwise he may starve before he learns. Always remember that nobody lives forever.

You are crowned with glory and honour – therefore refuse to pity yourself.

You are crowned with glory – your situation can not define you.

You are crowned with glory and honor – refuse to fear your future.

Your life will not end in shame because you are crowned with glory and honor.
