Rafiu is maintenance and reliability professional with over 15 years of uninterrupted work experience and a track record (in multinationals and multicultural environments) spanning Asset Care and Management, Maintenance and Reliability, Manufacturing and Operational Excellence, Project Management, Work Organization and Management, Scheduling, Continuous Improvement (KAIZEN), TPM, 5S, Workplace Organization, Lean Six Sigma, Cross-Functional Leadership, Spare Part and Inventory Management, Vendor Management, Stakeholder Management, People and Performance Management, ERP – SAP, MS-Navision among others. Over years, He has built competencies around strategic planning, goal setting, team building, leadership, problem-solving, effective negotiation, complex project management, etc
.
Rafiu is currently an MBA student at the Lagos Business School and holds a Masters Degree and Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos and the University of South Africa (UNISA) respectively. He also holds Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. A fellow of the American Association of Project Management (FAAPM) USA, a certified International Project Manager – CIPM, COREN certified and registered Engineering Technologist, certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Rafiu is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CLSSBB), certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), member of The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) USA, member of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON, and a certified Key User SAP-PM; Plant Maintenance.

Before joining IDL as the Head of Technical in September 2021, he commenced his career in 2008 with Nestle Nigeria Plc, a global leading FMCG company, as a Maintenance Team Lead, Production Planner, and Maintenance Planner saddled with the responsibility of Production Assets Availability and Reliability. In search of greater challenges, he moved in 2013 to Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company as a Maintenance Planning Engineer. In 2016, he joined CHI Limited as Maintenance Manager to lead Engineering Team at the Snacks Business Unit and then took up the role of Project Engineering Manager till he moved to Promasidor Nigeria Limited in 2020 as the Engineering Manager.
